Two hardcovers with dust jackets in good condition. "Pippa's Challenge" was published in 1972 by Collins & Harvill Press with 175 pages and illustrated with b/w and colour photographs. This book proves conclusively that a wild cheetah which has been tamed, can only be rehabilitated to its heritage in the bush but can breed. "Queen of Shaba" was published in 1980 with 190 pages. Gift inscription on front end page. In 1976 Joy Adamson was given an orphaned leopard called Penny. She hand-reared Penny and later searched for a suitable reserve in which to release Penny. It was successfully done in Shaba Reserve in Kenya. To Joy's great happiness this experiment succeeded and she could finish this book However it was published posthumously because she was murdered in January 1980 by a former employee in Kenya. No shipping overseas.
