Offered on this auction are these Lovely Fish Themed Rosenthal Dinner Plates.
The Plates are in the Versailles design and are beautifully decorated with an under-water scene with fish swimming amongst seaweed. They have gold edge trim.
The Plates are marked under their base with the “Rosenthal, Selb-Bavaria, Versailles” green backstamp. This mark dates to the 1920’s.
The Plates have a diameter of 23 cm and stand 2 cm high.
They are in Very Good to Excellent Condition.
There are no chips, cracks or restorations (see photos).
There is no crazing.
The gilding on the edges shows very little wear (see photos).
There are some wear marks to the enamel finish of the upper surfaces.
