This device originated because of the glaring sunlight driving conditions of Australia. Designed by a woman who struggled daily with excessively bright sun in just "that spot", you know, the area below the car visor where the sun seems to be brightest, the area that catches the eyes in the early morning and late afternoon - particularly in winter months.
After years of squinting and struggling with the sun's glare she devised a simple mechanism that is durable and practical and that simply unfolds into place when needed and is returned when not required. And so the Sunblaster Car Sun Visor was born...
The modern version of the Sunblaster Car Sun Visor is made of transparent tinted but tough, splinter free, polycarbonate which is clamped to the visor in any car or truck by means of flexible polycarbonate clips.
These clips have internal ridges in the connecting barrel which allows the attached panel to be adjusted to 7 different positions making the sunblaster sun visor extremely easy to position relative to the sun's glare. In addition, the lower panel is attached by means of a similar connector which allows 4 more distinct positions
By having this flexibility, created by the joints on the sunvisor panels, the driver is able to finely position how he/she wants the car sun visor to reduce the glare. See the Car Sun Visor Install Options page for pictures & instructions.
The car sun visor is not intended to replace your sunglasses but rather to enhance your driving enjoyment. The sunblaster anti-glare sunvisor extender can be manipulated so that the panels double over, and is extremely useful in blocking extreme sunlight in this position.
The South African version of the car sun visor has been modified so that both panels are of the same density material which allows the driver to use the sunblaster car sun visor for additional purposes. The units have been designed to be quickly deployed, then returned to their fold-away positions when no longer required. The new modification allows drivers to drive with the units fully deployed and still retain unimpeded vision through the material.
