Loxostylis alata or Tarwood as it is commonly known is a very attractive, ornamental evergreen tree that is suitable to a wide range of habitats.

It can grow up to 6 meters in height when watered often.

It is naturally found on forest margins and besides rivers so is best planted in an area of the garden where it will receive half day sun and regular watering.
