The plants should flower in about 3 years time.
Clivia miniata (Bush lily) is easily cultivated and should be planted in dappled shade. The plant carries spectacular red flowers in spring. This rewarding plant should be planted in well-composted, well-drained soil in dappled shade. They should be watered regularly in summer and watering can be reduced in winter. The plants are sensitive to severe frost and cold winds so plant in a protected area.
