DESCRIPTION
Minted in 2011 to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) on 30 June 2011.
The coin reflects a circulation note, signed by the 3rd governor, DR MH de Kock ('45-'62), a Brittish Sovereign marked "SA", 2008 R5 coin minted in honour of former president Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday, black rhinosceros gold natura coin and the 20c reflecting the protea and the famous "double sparrow on mimosa"
The mintage figure is unknown and said to be withdrawn just after its release. By far the most underated R5 coin and with grading figures as low this coin will surely grow in value over time, might even be the next 2000 "Smiley" R5 scarcity!!!
