The reverse showcases a single, playful giant panda cub sitting and gripping a large tree branch against a background screen of delicately detailed bamboo leaves, with the face value "10", weight, and purity ("1oz Ag .999") clearly displayed.
The 2014 issue holds a special place for collectors because it belongs to the very last generation of standard 1-ounce Chinese Silver Pandas. Starting in 2016, the China Mint permanently switched the series to the metric system, replacing the traditional 1 oz size with the current 30-gram coin.
