Description

The Australian Silver Kookaburra series from the Perth Mint began in 1990 and is the longest-running bullion program from the mint. Each year features new artistry of a Kookaburra on the reverse side of the 99.99% pure silver coin. Once called the "guuguubaraa" by the indigenous Wiradjuri of New South Wales, the Australian Kookaburra is an artistic symbol of the Australian Outback.

The 2022 release, shows the kookaburra perched on a bird bath surrounded by Agapanthus, flowering plants, regularly seen in Australian gardens. As a security feature, the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark is visible on the reverse side only under a magnifying glass. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse side along with the monetary denomination.
