2022 Marks 40th Anniversary Of Chinas Popular Panda Series!

Beloved for its precious metal content and intricate designs that change each year, the Chinese Panda bullion series remains one of the worlds most celebrated programs. First released in 1982 and building in popularity every year since, the China Mint's Panda series is now among the most popular on the planet.

To mark the 40th Anniversary of the series in 2022, China is adding a special 40 privy mark to the coins that superimposes a tiny panda face inside the numeral for a unique mark that sets this years coins apart from all other years!The Silver Panda is a treasured collectible for its yearly changing design. In 2016, this series changed to match the metric system. The 1 oz Silver Panda was replaced with this 30 gram Silver Panda, still containing .999 fine Silver.

Coin Specifics:

- These coins feature a special 40th Anniversary privy mark to celebrate the 40th year of Chinas Panda coin series. The mark appears to the left side of the design between the two cubs and is the number 40 with a panda face superimposed over it.

- Contains 30 grams (.9645 oz) of .999 fine Silver.

- Individual coins are in a capsule.

- Obverse: Depicts the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing encircled by the phrase "People's Republic of China".

- Reverse: Features two adorable panda cubs playing in the snow. One panda is lying on its belly and other on its back, both sliding down a slope of snow. Included is the special 40 privy mark featuring a panda

- Sovereign coin, with a face value of 10 yuan, backed by the Chinese government.
