On the obverse of this coin is the detailed depiction of an elephants face in profile as it reaches overhead to grab some leaves. At the bottom is ELEPHANT. This is the 20th issue of the 1 oz silver elephant coins. Each coin features a different elephant design on the reverse side of the coin. On the reverse side of the coin is the Somalian Coat of Arms. This coat of arms has a shield with a star in the middle with lines in the background. The shield is supported by leopards standing on spears. Above their heads is SOMALIA REPUBLIC. 2023 is split across the middle of the coin and 100 SHILLINGS is at the bottom.
