203 year old newspaper relic, dating way back to 1805 ! with historical significance, the original owner must have kept it due to the death of Lord Nelson.

The newspaper is in great condition, given its age, the paper is still strong, and only minor tears, the worst being 7 cm This particular edition of  “The Times” dated Thursday, November 7, 1805 cost a mere 6d, there are no page numbers.

One of the most interesting extracts is one that mentions Lord Nelson’s Last moments. “When Lord Nelson was shot, and was yet in the arms of the men who was supporting him........”

Mention of Lord Viscount Nelson The Commander in Chief who fell in action

included in the newspaper is Lord Nelson’s last telegraph “England expects every man to do his duty”

The newspaper also mentions The wounded and killed on British ships in action, many names are mentioned, from the different ships.

other contents of the newspaper are vacancies, items for sale etc.

The newspaper was printed in Johannesburg (obviously for English speaking people who had since left Britain for South Africa)
