Brett Kebble was a charismatic businessman, once considered the most influential man in South Africa, whose meteoric rise to fame and fortune in the mining world was followed by a startling fall from grace. His life ultimately ended in a hail of bullets on a dark road in Northern Johannesburg on 27 September 2005.

204: Getting Away With Murder reveals the story behind the Brett Kebble shooting, as told by the three killers themselves, and in a WORLD FIRST, they accurately and graphically re-enact the murder according to the only version of events on record. They and many others were all granted full and permanent indemnity from prosecution in exchange for truthful testimony in terms of Section 204 of The Criminal Procedures Act.

Kebble's death exposed corruption up to the highest levels of politics and business which involved South Africa's criminal underworld, the disbandment of the country's crack crime fighting unit, the downfall of the Commissioner of Police and Head of Interpol as well as the cover up of the largest fraud in South African history, yet to date no-one has been arrested or prosecuted. The film poses questions around whether all 204's were offered and granted appropriately, fairly and with the best interests of the South African criminal justice system, the perpetrators and the general public at heart. Or did everyone involved literally and figuratively "get away with murder"?

Through exclusive first-hand accounts from all the major players involved and graphic recreations director Warren Batchelor weaves a story of politics, corruption, fraud, greed, drugs, hit lists, murder and cover ups, so bizarre it should be fiction! The belly of South Africa's dark underworld is laid bare in this gripping documentary feature film.
