23 Piece Alfred Meakin Glo White Dinner Set
Alfred Meakin Ltd was set up in 1875 and operated from the RoyalAlbert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. Alfred Meakin was the brother of James and George Meakin who ran alarge pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Alfred Meakin died in 1904 and was succeeded by his son Alfred Jameswho died only four years later. Alfred John's uncle Robert Johnson boughtthe company for his son Stuart Johnson and it stayed in the Johnson family'shands until 1976 when it became Myott-Meakin before becoming part of theChurchill Group.
This Alfred Meakin Glo White dinner set in crisp white with deep redrose décor and gold trim consists of the following:

STAMPS OR MARKS: Theitems are stamped underneath Alfred Meakin England Glo White.
CONDITION: Four ofthe salad plates have some wear on the rose pattern and some have age relatedcrazing. A few of the items have some fading of the gold trim, this is howeverin the minimum. Aside from this the set is in extremely good condition.
