Savory Summer Herbs Seeds
Summer Savory, Satureja hortensis, is the better known of the Savory species. It is an annual, but otherwise is similar in use and flavor to the perennial Winter savory. It is used more often than winter savory, as winter savory is thought to have a slightly bitterer flavor. Summer savory has a delicate pepper flavor and is likened to thyme in for cooking purposes. With its spicy, but delicate flavor it adds just the right touch to eggs, fish, green beans, poultry, and meats. It's perfect for chopping finely and sprinkling on soups and broths.
