250g Milled Seaweed soil amendment for bonsai and other plants

What is it?

Ecklonia maxima (giant brown kelp) is sustainably collected off the Southern African coastline. It is then sundried. After drying it is milled to a 3mm particle size.

What can it be used for?

Milled seaweed is useful as a soil additive for:

1. Moisture retention

2. Slow release of nutrients to the bonsai roots

How to use milled seaweed?

Add a small amount of milled seaweed to your bonsai soil mix. The ratio will depend on your desired results but typically a handful for a small bonsai pot and a large scoop for a large bonsai tree.
