About the resort: Catering: Breakfast, light lunches and takeaways can be enjoyed at Piccininis/Maroela. Meals can be booked to be delivered to your chalet, details available at restaurant. Activities: Bushveld picnics, game drives, action cricket, trail cycling, horse riding (prices available on request), bird watching and a 4x4 off road course (own 4x4 required). Sondela trading store is open for basic necessities and gifts. Kiddies club gives moms a break during school holidays and weekends. Piccininis ladies bar has a pool table and DSTV for big sporting events. Extra facilities include clay pigeon shooting, target shooting, game drives, mini golf, horse riding, hiking, jogging trails, park, farmyard and game viewing. Bicycles can be hired hourly or daily. The jacuzzi is at Maroela Lapa and not in the units themselves. Unit information:Please adhere to maximum occupancy (including children/babies) per unit as listed on your confirmation letter. A per person per day fine will be levied on arrival with no extra linen, cutlery or crockery provided, as well as an additonal fine for over occupancy. Â * A R100.00 non refundable conservation levy will be charged on arrival * A fee is charged for cleaning service on Sundays. * No motorcycles, quad bikes or scooters are allowed at the resort. * The resident wildlife are dangerous, please treat them with respect. * No pets allowed at the resort. * Late checkouts will be fined per hour. * Amenity packs are provided in chalet at a charge. * No cooler boxes are allowed at the farmyard swimming pool area. * Camping cots are available from the resort at a fee. * Please bring own swimming towels, bicycles, golf clubs and balls. Â Sondela Nature Reserve is not only a wildlife conservation area, but also still a working farm. As such, a large number of farm animals and farm implements are to be seen on the farmyard. Tambo International Airport: The resort is 156km from O. R. Tambo International Airport. Travel towards Johannesburg on the R24 highway and go towards Pretoria on the N12 and the N1 where the highway splits. Continue along the highway, take the N1 Polokwane highway and continue through two toll gates (Zambesi and Carousel).
