2nd. World War 303 Rifle Bayonet. This bayonet was used by the South African Forces in the Second World War and thereafter issued to the SA Police. This particular one is marked "SAP". There markings on the sides of the wooden handle sides but it cannot be deciphered.

It was manufactured by MANGROVITE (printed on the scabbard) an Auistralian company. The scabbard is leather covered. This is a type 1907 bayonet and all the markings are shown in the pictures.  The length of the blade is 430mm.
