A new genuine 3 watt (3000mw) 808nm wavelength, infra red laser,
Purposely built to be a powerful night vision torch / illuminator to be used in conjunction with night vision equipment
The laser light 808nm wavelength is invisible to the naked eye and can only be seen with night vision goggles or camera
Comes with a focus lens that can be adjusted to widen the beam (flood) or collimate the beam (spot).
The laser light can reach up to 3km when collimated (narrow beam)
If the focus lens is removed the laser light will illuminate aproximately 100 meter wide area at a +/-500 meter distance and more
Ideal for night time game viewing
Package includes laser module, charger, battery and safety glasses (as seen in image)
Laser has been tested as can be seen in images below
I have compared this 3 watt ir laser torch to a 32 led's ir 808nm torch using my Yukon binocular night vision goggles, the led torch is only effective up to 80m and dimly illuminating the object. The powerful built-in yukon ir illuminator is even less effective and only good for 50m, but this 3 watt laser torch or flashlight will expose everything for hundreds of meters with the beam at its widest, and for km's if the beam is collimated (or spot) also depends on the quality of your night vision equipment.
WARNING!
Do not operate this laser torch without night vision goggles on, or protective glasses on (supplied), even the reflected light from this powerful laser can damage your eyes even though you cannot see it (to the naked eye you would see a faint red light at the front of the laser BUT DON'T LOOK AT IT unless it is the last thing you ever want to see! Do not shine the beam directly into night vision equipment/camera, will destroy it instantly. Be careful where you shine the laser light at close distances, it can set things on fire! Do not touch the laser diode behind the focus lens as it is a static sensitive device!
