This is an early variety that forms compact heads of excellent quality, mild-tasting golden cabbage. The head hardens early, and weighs about 1kg at maturity, which is 2 - 3 weeks earlier than the late varieties! Use fresh in coleslaw, stews, steam, stir fry or make sauerkraut for future use. There is nothing like fresh steamed cabbage right out of the garden! It is much more flavorful than store bought! It grows quickly, thrives in cool weather, and produces a generous harvest that stores very well. Sow directly into the garden after the last frost date, or start indoors 4 - 6 weeks earlier. Plant again in late Summer - Early autumn.
