NOW AVAILABLE IN COLOUR DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND!

32 Battalion Company Insignia Print based on a drawing done by South African artist, Christo Wolmarans.

The original drawing was sketched in Pencil depicting the different Companies of South African 32 Infantry Battalion that existed at the time during the 1980's.

Company insignia depicted: Alpha company, Bravo company, Charlie company, Delta company ( without motto due to a lack of space), Echo company, Foxtrot company, Golf company (skull with beret), 32 recce wing, Ala do suporte (HQ company), and Support weapons (scorpion). It was unorthodox for 32 BN soldiers to wear their camouflage berets into combat as depicted in the poster, Kepis (swallow tail caps) was more the norm. The beret is shown to demonstte how the buffalo beret badge was worn with the infantry "balkie" underneath it. The camouflage pattern is based on the Angolan Portuguese pattern which interestingly has origins with the pattern worn by French paratroopers of the period. Any comments or questions will be appreciated.

Print size is A3: (42 X 29,6 cm) in full colour on 200 gsm matt paper with a white border.

Each print is signed by the artist. Please have a look at the other military prints available.

Buyers please pay within 48 hours. See payment options. Please Ask about alternative shipping methods.
