The SuperStack II Dual Speed Hub 500 provides the power of shared 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet with the flexibility to connect 10 Mbps Ethernet devices or users in the same hub. The 10/100 auto-sensing capability on each port provides transparent support for 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps shared connections, automatically detecting the speed of the attached PC NIC and channeling the data to the appropriate segment. An internal 2-port switch ensures seamless integration of 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps users in the same hub. Designed for the smoothest and most cost-effective migration to Fast Ethernet, it works with existing 10 Mbps NICs, and when used in combination with 10/100 NICs, will automatically upgrade the connection to 100 Mbps. As a scalable solution, users can add SNMP/RMON management when required. A single user-installable management module manages a stack of up to eight Dual Speed Hub 500s with full SNMP, nine-group RMON+, Web-based management resilient links, and 3Com's advanced LAN Security
