Why you should consider buying a MICROCARE product:
Proudly South African with 20 years of manufacturing and thousands of units having been sold locally and internationally. Service and repair of the inverters at a minimum cost due to local manufacture.
Grid Tie system:
This inverter works with solar panels going directly into the inverter, and feeding the grid (household) direct.
There is NO Backup power available. It is purely a system which generates and supplies power when the sun is shining. At this stage it is of limited value in SA: it is only really suited for REDUCING ELECTRICITY BILLS as Eskom has no system that allows consumers to sell power to the grid (Eskom), unlike some countries eg. Germany, where you can store energy by feeding your surplus electricity into the grid during the day and then use it at night when your solar array is not harnessing energy.
Thus if Eskom has no power, then the GTI cannot supply power at night as there are no batteries for back-up. These systems are grid-tied in such a way that whenever photovoltaic power is available, it will use that power as first priority, but when no photovoltaic power is available, electricity is drawn from Eskom.
The Solar Array on these systems is usually linked to the rating of the inverter itself: a 3KW inverter will have a 3kW solar array.
The most cost-effective method is to have a system which is slightly smaller than the average consumption required, as then all the harnessed power is used and none is wasted. If you are still using the "old" analogue meter system you will be able to feed the grid. Those systems using other meter types need a Grid Tied Limiter as well, available at:

Although Eskom does not presently have the infrastructure for additional energy to be fed or sold back to the Grid, it is apparently in progress and you will be able to sell your surplus electricity to Eskom in the future.
MICROCARE Grid-connected inverter 3kw model 3000

Overview:
The 3kw inverter can be used in a small commercial grid-connected system. This inverter has two MPPT trackers and three-level technology which includes boosting for low panel voltages, giving the inverter a very wide input voltage operation. Using transformer-less technology, efficiencies of greater than 95% can be achieved. The technology uses High Frequency Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to regulate the output of the inverter.
Features:
Maximum Efficiency of 96.6%
Hi Quality Display with backlight
Standby current < 5 watt
Wide MPPT input voltage range 110v to 480v volts.
Integrated multi-communication interfaces.
Long service life ensured by using film capacitors.
VDE and CE certifications.
Complies with local NRS 097-2-1 regulations.
IP 65 Protection rated
Minimum Service Turnaround
7 Year Warranty

Payment: Within 48 hours preferred, maximum 7 days.
