Things You’ll Need:
1 cup granulated sugar or turbinado sugar
1 teaspoon molasses (more or less, depending on how dark you need the sugar to be)
A bowl, large enough to hold a cup of sugar during vigorous stirring
A fork
An airtight plastic container
Step1
Pour the sugar into the bowl.
Step2
Add the molasses.
Step3
Stir with the fork. It looks impossible at first, but suddenly, I promise, it will start to mix in and begin to look like brown sugar. Keep going until all the molasses has been incorporated.
