4 Antique/ vintage woodwork planes for 1 bid. This lot consists of:

  • Antique wooden W.C. McEntee & Co.  hollow moulding plane - Birmingham. This old plane has a decorative concave blade measuring 25mm wide. On the toe end, it is stamped "W.C. McEntee & Co., Birmingham, CME Trademark (in a clover)" and 5/8 on the other.  I would date the plane to the 1880s. The plane measures 23.5cm, and is in good condition for its age.
  • Antique wooden Atkin & Sons plane - Birmingham. I would guess that this late 1800s plane would have been used to cut beading. It is marked "Atkin & Sons, Birmingham, Warranted" on the toe end and 1/2 on the other.  It is 23.5cm in length. It has the side fence, but no blade. The plane is however in good condition.
  • Antique Stanley Rule No. 45 Plough Plane. This old cast iron Stanley No. 45 plough plane has a decorative floral motif and rosewood handle, and dates to about 1900. The body is marked 'B.' The side fence/skate is marked 'Stanely Rule & Level Co. Pat MCH 11. 84 JAN 22. 95. The plane has no cutters, and I am not sure how complete it is.
  • A vintage No. 4 plane. I am not too sure what make this plane is, because the only markings I can find is No.4. I think it may be a Stanley. The plane has some age - I would estimate it is from the 1950s. It is in fair condition.

Great lot for the collector of woodwork planes.
