4 Danish silver dessert spoons with a stylish design that appears to be a combination of Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts themes. These spoons have the 3-castle mark that indicates purity of about .844, and beneath the castle within the oval is a small 11 signifying a date for 1911. The smaller of the two oval marks is a monogram: a large H with a C above it and an F below it. This stands for C.F.Heise who was assay master in Denmark from 1904 - 1932. I cannot find information about ERNST who was no doubt the maker of these particular spoons. The spoons are also monogrammed with M.S. and 1911.
They measure 16.8cm and are in good condition on the whole. There are light dents to the bowls on two of them, and one of these also has some scratches which could be polished out. Otherwise the signs of having been used are commensurate for their 100-year old age, and I would say they are a lovely addition to any collection of silver.
The total weight is 83g. At the present silver value, my price is less than the silver wieght!
