This is an interesting piece of Greek history! While it looks very much like currency, this is actually a Greek State Lottery Ticket ( ) from 1985, not a banknote for general circulation.

Collectibility

Since the Greek Drachma was replaced by the Euro in 2002, this note no longer has monetary value and cannot be cashed in. Today, it is a collectible ephemera item. Lottery tickets like this are popular with "scripophily" collectors (those who collect stocks, bonds, and old certificates) because of their beautiful engraving and historical context.
