Info: Four Officers Pips in a gilded brass with a dark finish from the 1940's for uniform epaulettes. Many badges were darkened during WW2 to reduce the visibility of the badge.
Inscribed with the phrase Tria Juncto in Uno and is translated as 'Three joined in one' referring to England, Scotland and Ireland and is attributed to Charles II during the English Civil War (1640s). It is also the Motto of the Order Of Bath.
The 4 x Officers Pips are part of the Militaria Collection of Lt Col AD Irvine who served in the Union Defence Force in North Africa and Europe during WW2 and for the South African Air Force.
Condition: Excellent, fully intact, undamaged, includes split pins.
