If you have a 2011 Macbook Pro that has DDR3 RAM running @ 1333MHZ and you install this RAM it will run @ 1600MHZ
As you can see here and here which will result in a significant increase in performance.

To determine which RAM you Macbook uses, click on the Apple Logo and then click on "About this Mac"
You should then be presented with a screen similar to this:

This RAM will work with any Macbook Pro that uses DDR3 (Even the older 2011 model as described above)
