    To explain this, it helps to keep in mind that the word "channel" has two meanings here. The receiver can indeed receive input from 4 cameras on 4 different channels. Each channel is an incoming wireless connection. Each camera can transmit on one of two frequency paths depending on visibility / interference (like those old cordless telephones). In this way, each channel is a potential wireless connection.
