Aristea inaequalis is a perennial that grows to 1.5 meters tall. This rare & beautiful, South African Iris relative, forms branching stems bearing panicles of deep blue flowers in Spring.

The narrow & stiff, grayish leaves have red margins & remain evergreen all year. Spreads slowly by rhizomes. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.

It has average water needs. Water regularly but do not overwater. This plant is well suited to container growing.
