Galtonia princeps Seeds
South African Indigenous Flowering Perennial
Galtonia is genus of plants in the family Hyacinthaceae; native to South Africa they are named after Sir Francis Galton. G. candicans, also known as Cape Hyacinth, is much propagated as a garden plant. Another species is the pale green flowering Galtonia viridiflora. Galtonia princeps grows into a handsome perennial bulbous plant. It has broad grey-green, strap-shaped leaves. It has erect stems which carry green waxy bell shaped flowers. This species blooms earlier than Galtonia candicans and grows to 61 cm tall.
