Guibourtia is a flowering plant genus in the family Fabaceae (legume family). It contains 16 species, native to tropical regions of Africa and South America. They are evergreen trees growing to 4050 m tall, with a trunk diameter of 12 m, often with a heavily buttressed trunk. Guibourtia conjugata commonly known as Klein Baster-Mopanie or Klein-Valsmopanie in Afrikaans and Small Bastard Mopane, Small Copalwood or Small Mock Mopane in English is a South African indigenous species from the Limpopo Province. It grows into a tree of 10 meter tall. It has whitish-grey bark and shiny green leaves. It bears small white to creamy-yellow flowers in loose heads which are followed by flat leathery pods.
