The kooboo-berry flowers from early spring to late summer. The flowers are small, yellowish green and are borne in clusters in leaf axils. These are followed by small, fleshy fruits that are yellowish green, turning bright red as they ripen. They are edible to both man and animals and are said to be sweet tasting.
