This charming Asian variety, with large glowing red-orange flowers, will absolutely steal the show when in bloom. The eye-catching blooms of 'Allegro' are 12-15cm across with jet black centres and can be seen from hundreds of meters away, making them ideal border plants. This is a long-lived perennial variety with an average height and spread of about 60cm. Not particular about soil type, these are easy to grow in a full sun location. The large papery flowers of this strong-stemmed poppy are guaranteed to create an impact in your garden. Frost hardy to -30°C.
