Pet / Seedling Heating Pads - Made in South Africa
Heating pads for keeping warm seeds and seedlings for germination through winter or even in spring for quicker germination of seeds. The heating pads can be used all year round.
These heating pads will also keep your beloved pets warm during those cold winter months.
The heating pads should not be submerged and should be protected from excessive moisture to prevent shocking risk, especially connecting points. The heating pads can be used with South African electricity without adapters. No thermostat available. The heating wiring is insulated. White backing can be peeled off to stick to walls.
It is important to note the use of the heating pads in different environments depending on what you would like to achieve or where you would like to use them.
9 watt ±170C p/hour For plants and seeds this heating pad should be used in an enclosed space the same
measurements as the pad (LxWxH or up to double the size)as this will increase the
temperature by an approximate 50C. For pets this will depend on the heat requirement of your
pet.
14 watt ±26.50C p/hour For plants and seeds this heating pad can be used in an open area, it can be placed in an
enclosed area bearing in mind that the temperature by an approximate 50C. This pad maybe
used in a larger enclosed area, like a 2 tier greenhouse kept indoors, which will provide enough
heat, providing during the winter the greenhouse is kept closed. For pets this will depend on
the heat requirement of your pet.
20 watt ±380C p/hour For plants and seeds this heating pad can be used in an open area, it can be placed in an
enclosed area bearing in mind that the temperature by an approximate 50C. This pad maybe
used in a larger enclosed area, like a 3 tier greenhouse, which will provide enough heat,
providing during the winter the greenhouse is kept closed. For 4 tier greenhouses 2 heating
pads may be used. For pets this will depend on the heat requirement of your pet.
We will not sell the 25watt and 30 watt greenhouse heating pads unless specifically required, especially as these may heat too far and damage the kernel of seeds, which may result in non-germination of seeds. Respectively the heat of 25watts = 470C p/hour and 30watt = 560C p/hour.
Heating wire without covering is also available in different watts and lengths.
These may be used to heat much larger areas with much greater dimensions like free standing greenhouses approximately 2x3m in dimensions, the temperature would have to be monitored to ensure the right watts and number of heating pads are being used.
