This 5 Recce “Pamwe Chete” tracksuit badge was used and is still in a excellent condition but the backing is removed. These badges were not a once-off manufacture. They are made continuous on order, so it is possible that they will have slight changes, but not different colours, but I am selling it as a copy.

 The Pamwe Chete tracksuit patch, was worn at Fort Rev and Duku Duku and designed by Duncan Rykhard. The Gaboon Viper from Duku Duku, the Dagger for Special Forces, the blue Wings showing Airborne and the “ V” is the Roman numeral for 5 Recce. Pamwe Chete taken from Selous Scouts. This was also the first proposal for 5 Recce’s shoulder flash. The early motto was ‘Luma Masinyani’ - bite fast - while at Duku Duku, it changed to ‘Pamwe Chete’ - Work Together - when 5Recce moved to Phalaborwa.
