Squash Winter Vegetable Spaghetti
The Vegetable Spaghetti squash is a large yellow squash with unique flesh. The inside flesh is stringy and can be boiled or baked inside the shell and eaten with a fork similar to spaghetti. The Vegetable spaghetti squash is also tolerant of cooler climates. It can be stored several months in a cool, dry place. Cultivate or mulch the soil to control weeds. Fertilize when fruits form to increase yield. The cylindrical yellow fruit is best harvested when 20 to 25cm long. Boil entire fruit about 20 minutes or bake for 40-50 minutes before serving.
