50 years ago one did not know any one who had cancer, your chances were 1 in 50. Today we have a 1 in 3 chance of getting cancer! All the chemicals added to our food and water are to blame. Our water supply is contaminated with agricultural chemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers. Not to mention the Chlorine added to our water in order to kill bacteria. Bottled water from the shops is in some cases worse than tap water – containing cxhlorine, sulphates and Nitrates!!!! The tap water that we are supplied nowadays is not what it was meant to be. We have polluted our water supplies to such an extent that we have to use many dangerous chemicals, just to get the water to a point that it is ‘safe’ to drink.
To do this we add Chlorine, the chlorine in the water makes healthy fat sticky and this clogs your arteries that are measured as the cholesterol level in your blood and other impurities nest in your weakes. Chlorine also combines with the decaying matter in our stomachs and intestines to form Trihalomethanes which are cancer causing. Chlorine caused a magenesuim deficiency which scan result in anything from high blood pressure to sudden death syndrome.
Municipalities add many more chemicals to our water such as Aluminum which causs Alzheimers Disease, this comes from soduim flouride. Lead which is proven to lower IQ in children, damage central nervous system and cause kidney failure is a by product from Aluminum Sulphate added by the authorities. Lead also leached into our drinking water from the soldering on copper pipes. Lead is one of the contaminants that the authorities in South Africa recomend not be tolerated even on small amounts in drinking water according the the Potable Water Safety Guidelines. The addition of Flouride is another very contentious issue.
The only filtration system that can remove 95% of ALL contaminants is a Reverse Osmosis System. A system developed by NASA to recycle water on the space shuttles.
5 Stages of Filtration.
Stage 1
5 Micron Filter, removes sediment, clay, silt and particular matter to 5 micron range which float or are suspended in water to protect the membrane.
Stage 2
Carbon filter, Removes Chlorine, harmful chemicals, synthetic detergents, as well as other organic contaminants.
Stage 3
Water is forced through the pores of the densely compacted carbon block, where a combination of mechanical filtration, electro kinetic adsorption, and physical/chemical adsorption takes place to reduce or eliminate a wide range of contaminants. Solid carbon block technology, unlike other forms of filtration/purification, can reduce chlorine, taste and odor problems.
Stage 4
A 0, 0001 Micron Reverse Osmosis Membrane eliminates heavy metals, arsenic radio active materials etc. between 90-95%TDS. Separates the pure water and drain the rest.
Stage 5
Post filter, Removes odours, chlorine and bacteria again. Give taste to the water.
End result

This system comes with pressure control and a pump so either way you are guaranteed a good water flow.
