A 6 oz Codd for Benoni Mineral Water Works - Jayem. Called a skittle Codd as the bottle tapers down to the base. There is a base chip and some nibbling to the lip, neither of which spoils it for display. The bottle also has an unusual feature - the red rubber washer has become wrapped around the marble - leading me, for a heart-stopping moment - to think that it had a coloured marble ! (But it's aqua.) It has good embossing, with lots of writing running vertically on the reverse. It was made by Wm Barnard & Sons of London.
