A most charming and delightful cased set of six coffee spoons.

Sterling silver.

Spoons are 96mm long and are good quality - of thick & solid cast.

Hallmarked on the underside of the bowls are the marks for BIRMINGHAM 1929 - anchor, lion ,E alongside cartouch for AC&Co. All are crisp and clear save the makers marks which are somewhat rubbed being on the lowest part of the bowl.

Lovely padded box with makers name inside the lid.

COURT JEWELLERS

LONDON

End decoration comprises a three leafed clover (none of that tacky 4 leafed nonsense) in-filled with green enamel. The enameling is flawless although there is some l variation in the density of colour.

Some small scratches and wear marks but in a very good and respectable condition for silverware of that vintage.

Bought by me many years ago at an auction in England for a quite hideous sum but much enjoyed and used.

I doubt another set so fine will ever be seen on sale again.
