6 WW1 medals and Silver War Badge awarded to J. & J.H. Ludgrove - London Fire Brigade medal included. I have to admit that I was confused about these WW1 medals - it is very difficult to access British WW1 medal records. Thanks to an informative bobshop viewer, it would seem as though the medals were awarded 2 individuals, possibly family members. One was in Royal Engineers and the other was a Royal Engineer. The first 3 medals are awarded to Private John Ludgrove (CH.18395). These medals are the silver 1914-1918 British War Medal, the 1914-1919 Victory medal and silver Diuturne Fidelis RNR Long and good service medal awarded to Navy reserves for 15 years service. The other 3 medals and Silver War Badge were awarded to Pioneer John Henry Ludgrove (123214). They are the silver 1914-1918 British War Medal, the 1914-1919 Victory medal and 1914-15 Star Medal, as well as the Silver War badge (B3874). Also included is a London Fire Brigade Good Service medal awarded to Fireman J. Ludgrove. The medals are in good condition with their ribbons. Great buy.
