61 Mech Bn GP - Operational Participation bar (metal)

I have 3 different badges in my collection that were issued and are dated in 1981, early 1990`s and in the 2000`s and they all look EXACTLY the same. This badge is no exception. All there pins on the reverse are the same. These badge were issued in the early 1980`s for service on the SWA/Angola border, but were those days an unofficial issue. They were only approved in the early 1990`s and were then also issued to members that done service in the "locations" within RSA for unrest/riot duties.
