7621900 MA Smith :General Service Medal with Palestine Clasp 1945-48 : With WW2 Group

The General Service medal is named to 7621900 (first three figures are faint) W.O. CL. 2 MA Smith R.E.M.E.

The rest of the medals are unnamed.

Morris Alexander Smith was born on the 3rd of January 1918 and served in Egypt and Palestine as a mechanical engineer in the Tank Corps (according to his son). The family lived in Rhodesia and there is also a Zimbabwe independence medal (not shown in the pictures) of 1980 (numbered 59432) that was probably his son-in-law’s medal.
