First Edition. The Folio was Printed by the ABC Press from blocks made by Union Process, of Cape Town.

The plates are in very good condition. It is still in the original pictorial card portfolio, and this outer wrapping is a bit worn as per photograph.

Heinrich von Michaelis was a distinguished artist whose bird paintings have been famous in his own country of South Africa. Birds of prey have always been his especial interest, and he has successfully reared eagles, owls, hawks and falcons. ... "With the brush and pen," says the author, "I have tried to portray individual bird personalities, which were (some still are) personal friends in all cases."
