On offer we have these pretty hand hammered silver (marked 830 S) salt and pepper shakers from Tonsberg, Norway.

The set consists out of 4 shakers, all marked. They measures approximately 4 cm high, and 2 cm in diameter at the base.

There is wear and tear in the form of some minor dents due to use and the insides need a jolly good clean, but is still a beautiful set, which will allow you to eat in style!

Background:

The Old Norwegian standard of .830 purity silver is still used, but beginning around 1920, .925 purity began replacing it and is now the foremost standard in use.
