All our Smart products communicate via WiFi 2.4GHz on the Tuya platform. However, several of our smart WiFi products also offer an additional switching method via a long-range 433MHz remote control.

Remotes offer a very convenient alternate switching method for:
- Random activations (as & when required) such as a gate on the farm or small holding. The gate motor must be connected to a smart relay board.
- Long-distance switching (devices in locations where no WiFi signal is present).
- To 'override' smart devices with timers set e.g. add extra water to a certain zone when using our irrigation controls. Switch the pool pump on for an extra hour over & above the timer settings.
- Timing functions can be set via 433MHz by wiring a remote into a smart WiFi relay board.
- Suitable for farms, small holdings, larger homes or any area where your WiFi range is limited.
- Irrigation, gate or access control, alarm systems. The switch can be connected to a relay to switch larger currents or even 3-phase pumps etc.
This remote is fixed code type 1527 & will most likely not work with your gate & doors which are learning or rolling code-type remotes. The 433MHz has a range of 300m LOS (line of sight) with the periscope antenna fully extended which is much further than WiFi. Vegetation & obstacles such as walls or metal enclosures will adversely affect the range.
NOTE:
- You need only purchase 1 remote for every 4 switches required.
- Mount the switch in a plastic waterproof housing [click here] (a steel cabinet for example will reduce the range).
- Your standard garage door & gate remotes are most likely 'rolling code' remotes & are NOT compatible with our 433 Mhz switches.
- Requires an A23 (or 23A) 12V Battery (not included).

How to pair the 433MHz remote with any smart device that supports 433MHz.
First pair & connect your device to the Tuya app via WiFi. How to [click here].
From within the Tuya App -> Go into your 433MHz switch -> Go to "Setting" -> Click "RF remote control setup" -> Follow on-screen instructions. Repeat this step to pair each button by clicking "Add" under "RF remote control setup". After successful pairing, you can edit each button's functions under the same menu.
Below is the 'old method' (some switches may still support this method).
- Connect your input 230VAC & output to the 16A smart switch.
- Press the button on the remote (A, B, C or D) if you wish to pair fast 4 times.
- The switch will now be paired to the remote as 'latching mode'. One click = on another click = off.
- You can now also connect the switch to the Smart Life via your cell phone as per the above video.
- Repeat using other buttons to pair additional switches as required.
- To remove all remote programming fast push the relevant button 8 times.
