  BEAUTIFUL 97 YEAR OLD 1 CARAT GARNET SOLITAIRE RING
IN 9ct YELLOW GOLD. VERY COLLECTIBLE.
 
This seriously old piece (three years off being antique!) is in beautiful condition. The full carat garnet is a very deep dark 'blood' red, round cut and claw set in 9ct yellow gold. The solitaire design would work as either a ring finger piece or even a pinkie ring. Fascinating hallmarks in three different places around the shank include '375' indicating 9ct gold, the Chester Assay, the jeweller signature and a date mark for 1919. I have had the ring jeweller tested and authenticated. There is very little in the way of wear and tear; I can only find one small kink right at the back of the shank. If the ring could only talk, there must be a wealth of history it could give us!
