The Waverley Edition of The Works of Charles Dickens

On offer this near complete set of the Waverley Edition of the Works of Charles Dickens. I believe the complete set consists of 30 books, we have 29 books here so there is one missing and it appears to be Part 2 of Bleak House. An interesting anomaly is that the cover of one book shows "The Old Curiosity Shop", but the inside is actually "Christmas Carol and other tales", another copy of "Christmas Carol and other tales" is amongst this collection.

The Book set was published in 1912. Most of these books have never been read, some of the pages are still joined at the top and need to be cut/separated to be read. Some of the books have an applied color frontispiece, others have a black and white frontispiece printed on the pages. The edges of some of the books are not 100% even, again I think an oversight by the publishers. All the books illustrated by Charles Pears' character studies. They are hard cover, the spines are a lighter colour, presumably due to age-related sun/light damage and this same discoloration happens on a part of the front cover of some of the books. I notice a bit of damage to the edges of the pages here and there. The books measure 20.5x13cm and they have a combined weight of almost 12kg (excluding packaging).

The novels include: Oliver Twist, Sketches of Boz, Edwin Drood and Holiday Romances, The Pickwick Papers P1&2, David Copperfied P1&2, Martin Chuzzlewit P1&2, American Notes, Dombey and Son P1&2, Our Mutual Friend P1&2, Great Expectations, Nicholas Nickelby P1&2, Little Dorrit P1&2, Hard Times, Bleak House P1, Christmas Carol and other Tales, A Tale of Two Cities, A Child's History of England, Reprinted Pieces, Christmas Stories, The Uncommercial Traveller, Barnaby Rudge and the Cover of Old Curiosity Shop but actually contains Christmas Carol and other Tales.
