9ct Gold and Opal Semi-Eternity Ring

The vintage 9ct yellow gold semi-eternity ring, with decorated sides and shoulders, is claw-set with a line of five, white, slightly oval, cabochon-polished, opals (approximately 5.5mm x 4.5mm centre; flanked by two 4.5mm x 4.0mm; flanked by two 3.2mm 2.5mm circa 2.0ct total white with green and pink opalescence). The ring is marked "JAYEM; 9CT" where "JAYEM" is the maker's mark of the Cape Town jeweller Joe Melamed .
