The modern 9ct light yellow gold ring is set with a central blue marquise-cut sapphire (approximately 9mm x 4mm circa 0.52ct) in a rub-over setting. There is also a small brilliant-cut diamond on each shoulder (circa 0.08ct total for the two) set in a raised rub-over setting. The flat band is rounded off at the connection with the setting of the sapphire.
